Importance of Backlinks

If your trying to get free traffic in the form of organic traffic, which is being listed in Google’s organic results and not the sponsored listings, then back-links should be of high importance especially for Google. The way Google gives a site importance is by how many sites are linking to it.

The higher the page rank of the site linking to you, the higher Google will rank your site. If your looking to be listed in Google’s organic results you have to get sites of importance to link to you. Some people like to have a bunch of random sites link to them by the bulk, but Google caught on to such sites and have updated their algorithm’s to recognize it and give those sites a really low rank. If you want results you have to do it the right way.

One way you can start off is to write quality content, if you write well and provide useful information other sites will link to you “just because” and won’t even ask for a back-link. Another approach is to contact other webmasters and do link exchanges, but only to sites that are worthwhile. If your site is useful like I said before and relevant to the site of the webmaster you are contacting, then you would be surprised how many would agree.

KryptonBreadCrumb

The bread crumb control was originally invented for use on Internet sites. With web sites getting ever larger the user was getting lost inside deep hierarchies; finding it hard to get back to a higher level. So the control acts like a trail of bread crumbs, marking the path back to the start of the navigation process.

What makes the control so compelling is the combination of small area and ease of use. As soon as you start using the control you just intuitively understand what it does. But websites are not the only place that you have complex hierarchies of choices. Many client applications have the same issue. So the latest addition to the Toolkit is the KryptonBreadCrumb.

Here you can see the control in action…
